I saw the compassion alert on my feed and I didn’t know what to think. So I went to the mentioned blog and found nothing but hate. An entire blog dedicated to tearing the blogger’s own self down. This is not ok. No one should ever have to feel like their life isn’t worth anything. No one should be able to post pictures of razor blades and suspicious pills and have the temptation to use them. No one should ever think that they need to label themselves as a “fuck up” in such a permanent way as a razor against skin. No one should have so many negative people in their life that these thoughts of self doubt and self hate never leave. You are loved and whoever told you otherwise is a descendant of that idiot Satan. He has only the power we allow him to have and once he has the power to make you believe lies that contradict the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Lover of my soul, he has an incredible grip that can only be broken by God. He is a liar. He is a cheat. He is a sly manipulator that can cause so much hate and pain and suffering and then make us believe that it was our fault. It’s not! Yes, we fail sometimes but that does not mean that we are no longer worthy of life. Failure does not make us worthy of death. Failure makes us worthy of a savior.
Do not doubt yourself. God has you here for a beautiful reason and it is not up to us to decide how that beauty dies. You are loved. You are important. You are somebody’s pride and joy. You are not your own. Don’t hate yourself. I love you and the Creator loves you far more than I. I’m sorry if I have ever made you feel inferior. You are strong. You are loved. We are loved. Let’s love like it.
So….I just got a text from my best friend…..for the first time in 8 months. She’s been out saving people with the love of Jesus all around the world with AIM (Adventures In Missions). I didn’t know how much I missed her until I talked to her just now. Now a blubbering mess and I have to wake up in 6 hours. But I have to say, it’s totally worth it. Welcome home, Julie King
